Modern renders are very susceptible to staining from algae, mould and organic growth which can
make you wonder why your once pristine K Rend is looking dull. We clean render using a process called Soft Washing.
Soft washing is a render cleaning process which is designed to clean a range of rendered
surfaces. It uses a combination of cleaning chemicals, soaps and biocides to clean the render
and deliver long lasting results.
The first chemical, mixed with a surfactant cleans the algae, mould & organic growth on the
surface delivering instant results that are worthy of Instagram! It really gives the render a
proper before and after clean!
The second chemical is the biocide post treatment. A biocide is a trade specific cleaning
chemical designed to give long lasting results. Once applied, it uses the natural elements to kill
off any remaining spores on the surface that are still growing. It remains unseen on the render
acting as a protective layer which lasts for up to 3 years.
We deliver the chemicals through a water fed pole, similar to what a window cleaner uses,
through a soft brush or a spray nozzle at low pressure. We use low pressure to through our
pressure washers to rinse the render and ensure the area is clean after the soft washing has
been completed.
